TVLine decided to take a trip down memory lane with a video looking back at Bruce and Selina’s relationship throughout the first three seasons of “Gotham”. Watch the video below:
And there’s more to come in season 4:
As executive producer Danny Cannon noted during our in-depth Fall Preview Q&A, “You have two independent people going on their own path. Both parentless, both orphans to a certain extent.” But because Selina was left completely alone to her own devices, whereas Bruce enjoys a life of privilege and support from Alfred, “something hardens within her as she ages.”
Even so, “We know there’s always a good side to her that will find a kinship with Bruce, an attraction to Bruce, that we can’t stop playing with,” the EP adds. “It’s just too delicious.”
We won’t have to wait long for more. “Gotham” season 4 premieres September 21, at 8/7c, on FOX.
Camren Bicondova appears on the cover of digital publication Naked Mag this month! Make sure to read her interview, where she talks about the casting process for “Gotham”, her character, and Selina’s relationship with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), among other things. David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova are Batman and Catwoman for a new generation. Not just in the timing of their current roles in “Gotham”, but also in age — she’s 16, and he’s 14.
To put that in context, both actors were just glints in their parents’ eyes when George Clooney played the caped crusader in the 1997 film “Batman & Robin”.
As the Fox’s prequel series heads into its second season, Mazouz and Bicondova spoke about what’s ahead for their characters, their favourite Batman and Catwoman actors and the surreal experience of seeing themselves as action-figure toys.
Q: Fans love the interplay between your characters — especially that onscreen kiss last season. How would you describe their relationship?
Mazouz: They have a very rare relationship. I think they’re very different people with very different goals. But at the same time, for some reason, they like each other. There’s a connection between them.
Bicondova: It’s a good relationship for both of them, but neither of them really know if it’s good to be in the relationship.
In this new video, Camren Bicondova shares her favorite moments about her character, Selina Kyle, from the first season of “Gotham”, which are the brutal scene with Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Reggie Payne (David O’Hara) in episode 19, “Beasts of Prey”, and Selina teaming up with Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) in the season finale, “All Happy Families Are Alike”.
The “Gotham” cast and executive producer Bruno Heller were interviewed by TVLine during the Comic-Con about the upcoming season of the show. David Mazouz talks about the discovery of Bruce’s “Dad’s secret office” and what it will lead to for his character, and Camren Bicondova reveals that Selina will try to find her place and that we’ll see more of her backstory.
