Yesterday (December 10), the cast and crew of “Gotham” celebrated the show’s 100th episode with a cake, at Steiner Studios. The episode, the 12th of season 5, marks the end of production for the show, and is also written and directed by “Gotham” cast members Ben McKenzie (Jim Gordon) and Erin Richards (Barbara Kean). Pictures from the celebration have been added to the gallery:

A return date for “Gotham” has officially been announced yesterday: season 5 will air on Thursday, January 3, 2019! The time slot remains the same as with previous seasons (8/7c).

And there’s more: season 5, which was originally going to be only ten episodes, will now have two additional episodes.

“Gotham” is going out with a bigger bang than expected.

In revealing its midseason plan on Monday, Fox announced that the fifth and final season of its Batman prequel series will run 12 episodes, up from the original order of 10. As such, “Gotham” will end its run with an even 100 episodes […].

“Gotham’s” end will begin on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c.
