TVLine revealed some spoilers about Selina Kyle’s future in tonight’s season 2 finale, which could also pave the way for season 3.

Question: I’m a huge “Gotham” fan and my favorite character is Selina Kyle. I would love to see her get her own arc next season and more screen time. Any idea if this might happen?? —Z.M.
Ausiello: I don’t know about Selina getting her own arc, but Matt Mitovich says that the final image from tonight’s Season 2 finale in part hints at possibly interesting times ahead for Bruce Wayne’s No. 1 gal. BONUS SPOILERS: Looking ahead to Season 3, a trio of new roles are being cast, each possibly marking the arrival of another DC Comics character. The series regulars being added include a villain who “learns people’s secrets and manipulates them to do his bidding” (which sounds like the previously rumored arrival of The Mad Hatter) and a young villainess “who uses her sexuality to entrap men” (a la Joan Collins’ Siren on the 1960s Batman series?). There’s also the recurring role of an ambitious young journalist named “Valerie” — which we’d like to think is casting-call code for Vicki Vale, though her late-20s age range makes her markedly older than Master Bruce.

TVLine answered a fan question about the evolution of Bruce and Selina’s relationship in the upcoming episodes of “Gotham” season 2, quoting Camren Bicondova herself:

What can “Gotham” fans expect from the Bruce/Selina relationship? –Catherine
Though Selina is a “freelancer” who “doesn’t like any commitments — she’s like a cat in that respect” — Camren Bicondova says that her agile alter ego “does allow Bruce to come into her life a bit more, and in a different way than she would have in Season 1. You’ll see a different aspect of their relationship that shows the audience that Selina Kyle has some input into what Bruce Wayne eventually becomes, which I think is really cool.”

Now that Bruce knows the identity of his parents’ murderer and is determined to kill him, what should we expect next on “Gotham”?

While talking to Variety, Ben McKenzie hinted at how the end of season 2 will bring characters together, including Bruce and Hugo Strange:

By the end of “A Dead Man Feels No Cold,” Jim believes Mr. Freeze is dead, but the audience knows that he’s just the latest addition to Indian Hill, and Hugo Strange is the puppetmaster pulling everyone’s strings. Will that storyline be a slower burn for the next few episodes, until we get closer to the end of the season?

I think the discerning audience member can realize that we’re heading in a direction where something’s going to have to give. Strange has been able to conduct his experiments pretty much in the dark — no one is really aware of it outside of himself and Ms. Peabody, and the monsters he’s creating are quite vicious, and you’ll see more of that as the season wears on. So eventually our hero is going to have to be aware of it, and I can’t give it away, but it will all make sense… I think the writers really have a wonderful way of bringing it all together at the end of the season, not just Strange and Gordon, but Strange, Gordon, and Bruce Wayne.

Ben also confirmed that Jim and Bruce will reunite in the second half of the season:

We’re currently seeing Bruce (David Mazouz) and Alfred (Sean Pertwee) tracking Malone independent of the GCPD, and Jim obviously has a few other pressing concerns on his plate in addition to solving the Wayne murders – when can we expect those storylines to intersect again?

This season for sure. We have not forgotten about it at all; it’s something that we felt we needed to give some space too, so that we could track Jim’s journey individually, as well as Bruce’s with Alfred, with the cave and all this stuff, but they will intersect again, and they’ll intersect in a fundamental way that really drives the season forward.

“Gotham” executive producer John Stephens told Nerdist how Bruce’s search for the murderer will impact not only him, but other characters:

The mystery of the Wayne murders is not over. It’s going to be an ongoing mystery as [Bruce] pushes forward and he starts to understand in a real way what an empty road vengeance is. He is going to be looking for other answers and other avenues going forward, which will lead him to really interesting places. It will impact all of our characters, Bruce and Alfred [Sean Pertwee] and Gordon [Ben McKenzie] especially.

Don’t miss “This Ball of Mud and Meanness”, where Bruce confronts his parents’ killer, Monday, March 14, on FOX.

In a new interview with TV Insider, BD Wong, who plays Hugo Strange in “Wrath of The Villains”, teased a possible encounter between his character and Bruce Wayne:

And how has it been, working with this cast?
I love this job. I love the actors, the designers, the crew, the producers and the way the production is run. I work very closely alongside Tonya Pinkins, a Tony-winning actor [currently seen in Hulu’s “11.22.63”] whom I admire who plays Ms. Peabody, Strange’s associate, and we have loads of fun. I’ve also had wicked fun in my scenes with Robin [Lord Taylor], Erin [Richards] and Nathan Darrow, who plays Mr. Freeze. As of this interview I have not yet gotten in deep with the actors playing Gordon, Bullock, Bruce and Alfred, but I think that’s coming and it’ll be well worth waiting for.

This brings us back to the latest “Gotham” promo, “A Strange Teaser”, where we got a glimpse of a bruised Bruce Wayne.

TVLine posted an exclusive sneak peek of Monday’s episode of “Gotham”, “A Dead Man Feels No Cold”, showing Bruce and Alfred. Watch the video and read the article below!

Having been reluctantly spirited out of town after that rigamarole with Theo Galavan and the batty Order of St. Dumas, “Gotham’s” young Bruce Wayne will resume the search for his parents’ killer this Monday.

In the Season 2 episode “A Dead Man Feels No Cold,” Alfred (played by Sean Pertwee) reveals some crucial information to Bruce about his parents’ murderer, who thus far has only been identified, by a distraught Silver St. Cloud, as “M. Malone.” In the exclusive sneak peek above, Alfred apparently arrives with the intel just in time, as young Master Bruce is getting a bit… punchy.

Armed with that new info — as well as a “very, very important tool” supplied to him by Selina — Bruce over the next few episodes “will go through a major, major journey,” his portrayer, David Mazouz, tells TVLine. “He will confront the guy (played by “Breaking Bad’s” Michael Bowen), and it’s an amazing scene.”

But be forewarned, the overdue encounter “will have repercussions,” Mazouz says.

Elsewhere in Monday’s episode: As Gordon, Bullock and Barnes continue the search for Victor Fries, they are forced to look to his ailing wife, Nora, while Penguin gets to better know Hugo Strange.

TVLine revealed some spoilers about Lucius Fox’s role in the upcoming episodes of “Wrath of The Villains”:

Question: Looking to get some good scoopage on “Gotham”. —Brock
Ausiello: If you’ve been waiting for Chris Chalk’s Lucius Fox to do anything more than offer the occasional consult, those days are coming. “Toward the end of the season, Lucius and Bruce will go on a journey together — with or without Alfred,” David Mazouz told TVLine at the series’ winter premiere party. Explaining the “immensely different” dynamic between the future Batman and the two mentors in his life, Mazouz said, “Alfred, Bruce is kind of stuck with. And Alfred is a protector of Bruce. Whereas Lucius really encourages the investigation [into Wayne Enterprises’ wrongdoing]. He cares about Bruce’s safety, but he’s not so overwhelmed with safeguarding him.”
